Maintenance Area Leader


Our client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Area Leader who has strong experience working within manufacturing environments.

You will coordinate and manage an engineering team within the maintenance department. You will be responsible for assessing the engineering/maintenance strategy and ensuring optimal performance on site. You will develop, propose, and agree functional budgets, monitoring, managing and controlling all activities in accordance with the agreed functional budget, and investigating and resolving any variances.


- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance;

- Manage the team to ensure machine availability, reactively managing dysfunctional machinery with the Shift management;

- Optimise equipment according to standard procedure, enhancing performance and product quality;

- Execute planned and unplanned maintenance processes in order to achieve annual maintenance targets using standard company tools;

- Input and hold responsibility for maintenance budgets;

- Manage, coach and develop a high performing Maintenance team that meets agreed objectives and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements;

- Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems;

- Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimise results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with Company and Customer requirements;

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance;


- Technical university degree;

- Extensive plant level experience with significant proven management experience;

- Demonstrated ability to support a long term maintenance plan showing year over year improvement in Reliability, Maintenance KPIs and maintenance Cost;

- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement;

- Excellent interpersonal skills;

- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills both in Romanian and English languages;
